At Lost Creek Ranch, we are not so concerned with pedigree as we are with "person"ality. Our dairy goats are well-kept, and healthy. They each have their own "person"ality.
This page is still under construction, and will also include links to some informative sites, as well as my own insights from experience, and some information about the different types and breeds of goats, as well as facts about goat milk and its many uses.
Dottie
Dottie is our herd queen (aka boss lady). She runs the goat show at Lost Creek Ranch. She is a coming 3 year old Nubian doe, and the mother of Lilly and Rosie (the twin doelings below). She is the first to greet us when we come or go, and is certainly the loudest when she thinks feeding time has arrived!
Bambi
Bambi is our beloved 2 year old Alpine doe. She's super sweet, and (don't tell the others I said this) is probably the smartest goat we have.
Lilly & Rosie
These are Dottie's twin doelings. This picture was taken the day they were born (in August '10). They are both solid white, and the only way to tell them apart is their horns. Since they are both solid white, we named them both after white flowers. Lilly has the white horns, and since every Rosie has its thorn, Rosie has the black horns. You can't see their horns in this picture because they are not born with horns (Thank God, huh!?)
